[Back in March 2020] to handle the critical drug supply issues that affected Alberta and the world due to COVID-19, the government recommended pharmacists dispense a maximum 30-day supply of all prescription drugs, when appropriate. This made sure pharmacies could supply people with the prescriptions they needed. Because of this temporary measure and the evolving COVID-19 situation, conditions have improved."
So starting Monday 15 Jun 2020 we are again permitted to fill prescriptions written for up to 100 days or as specificed by the prescriber. Note: there may remain some specific medications in short supply and it will be left to the pharmacist to determine if a 30 day limit is still appropriate.
